Wisdom teeth removal

After extractions, watch for
- Swelling: Use ice packs for the first 24 hours and warm moist compresses thereafter if swelling persists beyond 48 hours
- Fever: A slight fever is normal within the first 48 hours. In case of persistent or high fever, you need to contact us.
- Dry socket: Watch for persistent throbbing pain in the jaw, which could indicate a dry socket. Contact us if this occurs.
It’s Normal If:
- There is a little bleeding. Don’t worry. It may happen sometimes. Just use some gauze and press firmly until it stops.
- The stitches in your mouth will either dissolve on their own or we’ll remove them when you come back for your next appointment.
- You might feel a bit uncomfortable, but that will resolve with the medicines we prescribe.
